Start from the character chat
- Sign in to the account that has your Premium subscription.
- Open the companion conversation and find the phone control.
- Review the per-minute Hearts rate before your first call.
- Allow microphone access in your browser when you choose to speak.
- End the call when you are finished and review the resulting chat history.
The call uses Hearts per minute
Premium enables the calling feature; it is not an unlimited-calling plan. Calls are charged in Hearts per minute. The first-call rate display matters because later calls can start without showing that introduction again.
Know your balance before starting a long conversation. A real-time call, a recorded voice message and a text message are different interaction types. Do not assume they share the same charging method.
Find the call record in chat
The Call Memory card includes the duration, transcript and media received during the call. Relationship progress can continue during a call as part of the Premium experience.
If a detail in the transcript is wrong, treat it as a recognition or generation error rather than a reliable record of intent. Avoid sharing passwords, verification codes or financial details with the companion.
If you cannot hear or be heard
- Check that your browser has microphone permission for the application.
- Check the selected microphone and output device, including Bluetooth headphones.
- Make sure the device or browser tab is not muted.
- Check your connection and whether a different application is using the microphone.
- If the problem persists, describe the device, browser and call issue to support.

Are voice calls available on the free tier?
Real-time companion calls are a Premium feature and use Hearts per minute.
Am I speaking to the creator of a character?
No. The voice is generated for an AI conversation; the creator is not personally answering the call.
Can a voice be selected for a Custom AI?
Yes. Voice is one of the Custom AI builder choices.
